Chrisland University Holds 11th Matriculation Ceremony

The 11th Matriculation Ceremony of Chrisland University marked a significant milestone in the institution’s academic journey as it formally admitted a new cohort of students into its various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The colourful ceremony, held at the University Auditorium in Abeokuta, Ogun State, drew members of the Governing Council, Management, Senate, Staff, Parents, Guardians and well-wishers who gathered to witness the formal induction of the fresh students into the academic community of Chrisland University.
In her welcome address, the Vice-Chancellor congratulated the matriculating students on their successful admission and described their entry into the University as the beginning of a transformative journey. She charged them to uphold the core values of the institution, particularly excellence, integrity, discipline and innovation, noting that Chrisland University is committed to raising globally competitive graduates. The Vice-Chancellor emphasised that matriculation is not merely ceremonial but a solemn commitment to abide by the rules and regulations governing the University. She urged the students to shun all forms of misconduct, including examination malpractice, cultism, indecent dressing and other social vices that could jeopardise their academic future. The Matriculation lecturer Dr. Oluwatobiloba Moody who is the Director of World Intellectual Property Nigeria Office who delivered his lecture with the theme “Create it. Own it. Change the world” urged the students to be change makers, make an impact while leveraging their studies to offer solutions to some of the developmental challenges confronting the country.
A major highlight of the ceremony was the administration of the Matriculation Oath, led by the Registrar Mr. Samuel Omotoso, during which the students pledged allegiance to the University and committed themselves to the pursuit of academic excellence and good conduct. A total of 411 undergraduate students and 75 postgraduate students participated in the matriculation ceremony. Parents and guardians expressed gratitude to the Management for providing a serene, secure and student-friendly learning environment. They also commended the University for its emphasis on character development alongside academic training.
The ceremony concluded with a renewed call for the students to “create, own and change the world” through purposeful learning, innovation and responsible leadership, as they begin a new chapter in their academic and personal development at Chrisland University.
